PADI Open Water Referral - learn the basics before your holiday £199

Learn basic scuba diving skills in the pool

PADI operate a brilliant referral system. Doing the PADI Open Water Referral means that you can complete your theory and water skills in the pool at home and finish your course by doing the open water dives on holiday. So if you're heading for one of the worlds great diving destinations give it a go. No sitting in a classroom in the sunshine or spending time getting familiar with the equipment in the pool. Its straight into the ocean to complete your course and the adventure of open water diving.

Whether its the Red Sea, Canaries, Mediterranean, Florida or even more distant places its always wise to arrange with a dive centre before you go so that you can be certain that they can fit you in. The referral allows you 12 months to complete your course. As long as you can make time and are willing to work on the theory we can normally complete a referral in a couple of weeks. If time is even shorter please get in touch. Our pool times are very flexible so we can timetable the course to suit you.

The PADI crewpak, included in the course price, provides all that you need to learn the basic theory of scuba diving and record your experiences.. You will learn the theory by reading the book in your crewpak, watching the DVD and completing knowledge reviews at home. We'll review the knowledge reviews with you and check your understanding by completing quizzes and a multiple choice final exam. You'll be supported by your instructor who will answer your questions, show you how your equipment works and make sure you understand enough to safely enjoy your new adventure.

Before completing your Open Water dives on holiday you will develop your underwater skills in the swimming pool. You'll master buoyancy so that you can hover in mid water, learn to clear your mask, good breathing techniques and lots more in the swimming pool.

Before you start you'll need to complete a PADI self certification medical form and be capable of swimming 200 metres and treading water. Any questions just get in touch
